[Daily Photo] On the way to Lamar Valley

I took this photo from our car on the way to Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park. The Lamar Valley is on the right side of this photo, which is the habitat of buffaloes. We ended up having a good time seeing several herd of buffaloes in this valley.

I went to Domino's Petting Farm (in Ann Arbor, Michigan) today. There were a lot of cute aminals. The alpacas were one of the cutest. This brown alpaca was curious about my camera and looked at me all the time when I walked close to it.

[Daily Photo] Beautiful ice patterns on First Sister Lake / 姊妹湖上的冰花

I went to Dolph Nature Area in west Ann Arbor yesterday. There are two sister lakes in this area: First Sister Lake and Second Sister Lake. The lake in this photo is the First Sister Lake. You can park your car in the parking lot beside the Second Sister Lake and hike about 15 minutes to get here (Thanks to my GPS). There is a small dock on the lakeshore. I had a good time taking pictures from the dock. Look at the beautiful ice patterns on the frozen lake surface. The ice maybe had melted last week and froze again recently to form these amazing patterns.

I was in the back of Smithsonian Castle in Washington DC, in a beautiful garden called Enid A. Haupt Garden. Although using a tripod is prohibited in the garden, I still took a lot of photos without a tripod.

This photo was taken at National World War II Memorial in Washington DC. The memorial is located between Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. The design is really amazing. I spent an hour trying to take photos from different angles.

[Daily Photo] Inside the Duderstadt Center

I took this photo in the Duderstadt Center of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor when it was sunset. The orange sunlight casted on the ceiling and the blue sky outside the windows looked amazing. The ceiling looked like a spaceship. The Duderstadt Center is probably the busiest building in North Campus. It houses the Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library, the College of Engineering Computer Aided Engineering Network (CAEN), the Digital Media Commons, and the Millennium Project.

This photo was taken on North Campus at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor near the Art and Architecture Building. I went to the campus to print some documents, and I wasn't planning to take photos that day. However, the weather was nice, the clouds were beautiful, and the sunset was colorful. So I ended up spending an hour chasing the light with my camera and tripod. I love the tree silhouette on the left side of this photo. I have no idea what kind of the tree it is but its silhouette looks pretty cool. The sun's rays penetrating through the branches also looked good.
